HANG GLIDING - Overview
Hang gliding is a form of aviation that is enjoyed by many around the world as a competitive and recreational sport. The history of hang gliding has origins in the birth of aviation itself. Many of the pioneers in flight flew aircraft what could be remotely classified as a hang glider.
Since its proper inception in the 1970s, Hang Gliding has developed into a practical and relatively safe sport, using a simple yet sophisticated machine built of aluminium, carbon-fibre and high-tech sail fabrics. Flying a hang glider gives an unparalleled sense of freedom, feeling the movements of the air across your body by using only the wind's force to stay aloft.
