Helicopter Transfers > MERIBEL HELIPAD
LOCATION
The Heli-pad in Meribel is situated next to the car park of the Altiport Hotel and the Altiport runway at an altitude of approximately 1800m - 1900m. Meribels helipad is also very close to the Altiport Green ski run for those wanting a quick get away on skis.
LANDING FEE
Unlike some heli-pads in the alps to land at Meribel in a helicopter there is no landing fee which actually helps to keep the Helicopter transfer costs down.
TRANSPORT LINKS
When flying into Meribel unless you are staying at the Altiport hotel it will be necessary to organise transport to your final destination.
Whitetracks Transport
Transportation to and from the Meribel Helipad to your Meribel Chalet, Hotel or Apartment is charged as extra to the Helicopter Transfer unless your Chalet company or Hotel will provide this service for free.
Ski
With the location of the helipad in Meribel being so close to the slopes i.e. the Altiport green run it is possible to just strap on a pair of skis or a snowboard to pretty much get anywhere in Meribel or even down to Meribel Village by use of the Lapin ski run. Please note that if you've just traveled from the airport and you're wishing to ski your first destination must be the lift pass office. You will not be aloud on the lift system without a pass.
Free Bus
The last bus stop of the free meribus route is Meribel Altiport which is located near the entrance of the Altiport car park. This bus travels to all areas of Meribel. If you are staying in Motterat, Meribel Village or further down the Valley you must change buses at Meribel Centre just outside La Tavern pub/bar.
Taxi
Whitetracks can provide you will the telephone numbers of several different taxi companies based within Meribel for you to organise your own taxi transport. Whitetracks would prefer that you organise your own taxi transport due to problems that we have had in the past with reliability etc.

Inter–Resort transfers, make use of your free days skiing in another ski resort that you get with your 6 day three valley lift pass or maybe you have friends in other ski resorts that you wish to visit. A Helicopter is the best form of transport to get you there quickly and in style not even mentioning the amazing experience and panoramic views you're receive whilst flying over the mountains to your chosen destination.
The Helicopter is the ideal form of travel if you and a small group of people want to make the most of your free day in a different ski domain. A helicopter pretty much gets you there for lift opening and allows a full days skiing or snowboarding (Riding) before catching a helicopter back to Meribel if that's how you choose to get back!
